Using different types of bondage gear with your partner can be great fun and bring a new type of passion to your love life. Many couples would have dipped their toes into a bit of restraining with an item of clothing or something similar, leading them to experience the power exchange and trust that binding your partner brings to a relationship

Bondage Rope

Bondage rope is one of the most popular types of bondage products for beginners. This being said it is also very popular with experts, especially with those who practice the ancient Japanese art for of rope binding known as Shibari. Bondage rope is popular because of how versatile it is as it can be used to create numerous different types of restraints. Bondage Tape

Bondage tape is also incredibly popular with beginners. Bondage tape allows you to quickly restrain your partner, and once again you can do so in a numerous ways. Using bondage tape allows you to be more adventurous with how you tie your partner up. It is extremely cheap, and re-useable. Bondage tape sticks to itself, and not to the skin so will not feel painful when peeled off. Many people also use bondage tape to make their own fetish clothing.

You can use bondage tape to create wrist restraints, ankle restraints, hog ties, and so much more. It provides a brilliant way to quickly tie up your partner.

Wrist Restraints

There are many different types of wrist restraints on the market, here at Loving Joy we currently have two different types:

Beginners Wrist Restraints

These types of restraints usually consist of a Velcro tie allow quick and easy restraint as well as release. These also tend to be padded, and cheaper than others making them a great piece of bondage equipment for those who are just getting started.

Other Wrist Restraints

We also manufacturer extremely high quality wrist restraints that are designed for more experienced bondage players. These are made from silicone or leather, and feature a pad-lockable prong that gives you even more security. These cost slightly more money than the beginner wrist restraints, but are well worth it when you are looking to treat your sub to the highest quality bondage gear! These restraints also usually feature a D ring where the chain is connected, this D-ring allows for you to connect other bondage accessories to it, like a hog tie.

Both types of wrist cuffs are easy to use, and simply involve you placing your partners wrists into them and then doing them up to a tightness that is comfortable for them, but tight enough to prevent them from escaping!

Ankle Restraints

Ankle restraints are just as easy to put on as wrist restraints. Simply put your ankles around the strap and do them up in the same way as your would your wrist restraints.

What is great about ankle restraints is that when combining them with wrist restraints you can tie your partner up in numerous ways. You can also add a hog tie to the equation to restrain your partner like a hog in style.

Hog Tie Restraints

A hog tie is where you bind your partners arms to their feet, rendering them immobile. To do so you would need your partner to lay down on their front, restrain their arms with some wrist restraints, then their feet with ankle restraints, and finally join the two together. You can use bondage rope and make your own hog tie, or you can purchase a hog tie restraint set which is perfect for beginners.

Door Jam Cuffs

Door jamb cuffs are great fun for couples, and can be enjoyed easily and quickly. To use door jam cuffs start by putting the cuff over the door, so the plastic block hangs down one side, and the cuff hangs down the other. Close the door, and pull down the cuff so the plastic block is at the top of the other side, preventing your partner from being able to pull the cuff further through when they are bound. Go ahead and fasten your partner in as you would with wrist restraints, making sure the Velcro is well attached on your partner.

Under the Mattress / Bed Restraints

Under the Mattress or Under the Bed restraints are great fun for couples. You can make your own under the bed restraints with your bondage rope, or you can buy a quick and easy to use Under the Mattress Restraint System that has been specifically designed to easily, and quickly tie your partner to the mattress. They usually feature soft, padded cuffs as they are great for couples who want to try out bondage. For more experienced bondage users who may have some wrist or ankle restraints, try buying two pieces of bondage rope and creating an X shape with the rope under the bed, joining the right hand to the left foot and the left hand to the right foot. This type of restraint allows you to completely restrain your partner so you can have your way with them!
